Description:

This tea is from Jingmai Da Zhai, grown on the Da Ping Zhang area, and is considered some of the finest Jingmai tea available. Another famous tea village is Mangjing. The Mangjing tea taste more simple and bitter, therefore be sold at a lower price.

Jingmai mountain is famous for middle/little leaf tea (中小叶种茶) which is popular for its sweet taste and floral aroma. Jingmai Da Zhai is one of the most famous village and has the biggest ancient tea tree garden in Jingmai mountain, especially Da Ping Zhang area.

Our Jingmai 2012 was picked on 26th and 27th March ( first harvest) from two families. The tea garden is natural and free from pollution. We personally selected all the material and stay with the farmers all the time. The farmers only picked from the hundreds of years old and "no dwarfing" trees that we chose. Lancang county tea industry development office started making numbers for the ancient tea trees.

The first family own more tall trees with unique number. The second family pay more attention to pick tender tea leaves. We bought fresh leaves and ask "a master of kill green" to make the maocha all by hand. And also he is a good friend whom we trust. Pure tea leaves of arbor trees , sun-dried, traditional stone pressed in Yiwu town.

Brewed tea is sparkish yellow green, with charming heavy honey and orchid fragrance. This tea is full in body and very comfortable in mouth, the bitterness is very light, huigan is very fast. Sweet and rich.

Steeping:

This tea can brewed more than 20 times.

Great Jingmai wild tea

5 stars 5.0 This review helped: 0 / 0

The smell is strong, sweet. The first two infusions have small bitterness of wild tea trees. It leaves a very pleasant sweetness in the mouth. Hui Gan is fast and intense. It is a very strong tea with a pleasant energy. I'm pretty fired into the sky, after two cups and there are still at least 12 infusions left. It is the tea for the whole day, but you need to start early ;-) Very good tea, unfortunately no longer available. Purchased for $ 30.

8g gaiwan 170ml, 100°C – wash 10s – 15s/5/10/15/20/25/30…up to 15 infusions

Quotes - Pu-erh

„chui niu; 吹牛. 吹 - chui, to blow. 牛 - niu, cow, but in this case can be read as 公牛 or bull. An almost default aspect of tea drinking - 'shooting the bull'. The talk that often accompanies tea drinking and can be peppered with much knowledge, a little exaggeration and some humour. Also 吹牛皮. 皮 - skin or hide. 'Blowing the bulls hide.'“

Quotes

„The leaves are then dry pan-fried using a large wok in a process called "kill green" (殺青; pinyin: shā qīng), which arrests most enzyme activity in the leaf and prevents full oxidation. After pan-frying, the leaves are rolled, rubbed, and shaped into strands through several steps to lightly bruise the tea and then left to dry in the sun.“
