Description:

sweetish, rich, dense taste is apparent from the first brewing, in the second brew the fine gushu bitterness appears, in the cup you can feel nice flowerish aromas, pu-erh teas from Manzhuan has the ability even during his first year of aging to transform to sweet, honey like tones, that can be noticed in the tea even now, be careful with the dosage, number of grams used, this is a really powerful tea that with high dosage could be a very bitter like brew, these cakes unlike the others spring 2013 are pressed less tight

this spring hand-pressing of pu-erh cakes was done in a very skilled manufacture in Yiwu, is more tight than previous years, there is more work for me when taking apart the tea leaves for samples, but for long term storage the tight pressing will allow keep longer the aromas, the tea leaves won't dry that much, during this tighter pressing the man standing on the stone press needs twice as much time to have the leaves trample down

The tea was part of Sheng 2013 Blind Tasting Set

Sample is not compact. This is a tea with a very long individual leaves. In this case, it is clear that it is ManZhuan. Tea leaves are filling almost the whole tea pot, but it is still the same 7 grams of tea. Scent of a young pu-erh is great – sweet and floral. The first infusion has a soft flavor, I guess too short steeping. I am steeping much longer. The tea was already over steeped according to the color, but the taste is still not bold. Slight sweetness, mild bitterness, dry tongue in aftertaste, but nothing distinctive. Such a "flat" taste, but the smell of leaves is splendid in a teapot.

Quotes - Pu-erh

„Indistinct fragrance is, by nature, restrained, hidden and it is only by steeping the tea and then smelling a cup that has just been emptied of tea can one appreciate this fragrance. Alternatively, one can also smell the steeped leaves. “

Quotes

„The most classical Puerh Tea is the Bingcha, recorded in Yong-Zheng 13th year in Qing Dynasty (1735). Each tea cake weighs 7 Liang (357 grams). Seven cakes make 1 Tong (wrapped in leaves), weighing 49 Liang. It was sold in nice places and also was exported abroad. It was re-named as "Yunnan Qizi bingcha - Yunnan seven cake tea" during the Cutural revolution.“
