Description:

Spring comes to Yunnan earlier this year. And also spring teas from regular spring harvest are picked a bit early. This good quality green tea comes from Simao area and was picked in late February. Picked one bud and two leaves. Commercial name for this tea is Bi luo chun in Kunming market, but we feel this tea doesn't look like original Biluochun, and the taste is not similar either. We call this tea Huoqing, because the look of jade green leaves is very similar to Yongxi Huoqing (涌溪火青, prov. Anhui).

Light yellow-green liquor; fresh and strong aroma, floral with hints of white spring flowers; delicate taste, sweet and full in mouth.

Excellent tea for everyday drinking

5 stars 4.0 This review helped: +1 / 0

Leaves are rolled into small irregular cocoons. I like this tea and I am buying it every year. It is very good for everyday drinking. The taste is bold, spicy and full bodied. Tea is very stimulating, suitable for mental work. I recommend using cooler water to allow tea develop it’s unique taste. I also prepare this tea with cold water during a summer hot weather. Purchased for $7/100g.

Hot water preparation: 7g, 170ml gaiwan - water 60 to 70 °C - 20s /15/20/30/40/50
Cold water preparation: 10g per 1.5 liters of cold water - I start drinking the tea after about 25mins, I leave leaves all the time in a jar. The tea is still drinkable and it is not bitter after about 1 hour of steeping. The second infusion - again 1.5 liters of cold water - you can drink after about 20 minutes. The second infusion is weaker.

Quotes - Green tea

„According to a survey released by the United States Department of Agriculture in 2007, the mean content of flavonoids in a cup of green tea is higher than that in the same volume of other food and drink items that are traditionally considered of health contributing nature, including fresh fruits, vegetable juices or wine. “

Quotes

„Pu'er Tea; 普洱茶. That 'Puer Tea' was given this name suggests that historically this kind of tea - post fermented camelia sinensis assamica must have come from the south and west of Puer for there to have been any sense in transporting it through that city. The majority of good Puer tea still comes from the Xishuangbanna region. Puer County itself was not an historically important tea producing region.“
