Description:

Material came from the same tea trees with Longjing green tea. The dry tea leaves are rolled tightly and full of aroma.

The liquor has a deep ruby red, aroma of ripe berries, nuts and cinnamon with a little dark chocolate flavor, fresh and velvety smooth mouthfeel, with a surprisingly long, charming aftertaste.

Really worth a try!

Cocoa delight

5 stars 5.0 This review helped: 0 / 0

Leaves are completely black. Dry leaves smell like cocoa. Wet leaves smell after cocoa with the sweet scent of ripe fruits. The brew is nicely balanced and smoothed. The taste is sweet. You can find there a taste of fruits, nuts, and light taste of wood. No astringency, no bitterness - simply the concert of tastes. The second infusion 10s, to get more intense teaste. It seems to me that the cocoa becomes more like dark chocolate. The flavour is more intense, sweeter, just more chocolate in the taste. Still there is no bitterness or astringency. Very good red tea, I am giving 5 stars.

5g, gaiwan 170 ml, water 100°C - 20s/10/15/20/30/40

Quotes

„Tea that is picked in the summer, often referred to as Yu Shui Cha, is not of high quality. In the rainy season, levels of sunshine are comparatively low so it is often not possible to sun dry tea so a wood stove is used to dry it. This can produce a smokey aroma and flavour. With time it will abate, but not considerably, so any smokey tea that one has not witnessed being made is probably best put to one side.“
