Description:

the pressed leaves aroma is strong and fruity, the taste is bitter, nutty, almond, fruity, fresh, balanced, very pleasent, fancy like Banzhang like bitterness, slowly disappearing in the mouth, raising salivation with dryness in the mouth

this spring hand-pressing of pu-erh cakes was done in a very skilled manufacture in Yiwu, is more tight than previous years, there is more work for me when taking apart the tea leaves for samples, but for long term storage the tight pressing will allow keep longer the aromas, the tea leaves won't dry that much, during this tighter pressing the man standing on the stone press needs twice as much time to have the leaves trample down

Sweet

5 stars 4.5 This review helped: 0 / 0

The tea was part of Sheng 2013 Blind Tasting Set

Rinsed leaves smell sweet. Infusion is pretty yellow. The taste is slightly sweet, but there is a subtle bitterness in the aftertaste. Pleasant Hui Gan already after the first cup. There is a dryness which remains on the tongue. The second brew about 10 seconds, more pronounced flavor, the third infusion for 15s – distinctive sweetness, round taste. It is interesting how subtle bitterness has turned into a sweet finish. Very strong sweet aftertaste. The mouth is flooded with sweetness. Very heavy and full bodied infusion.

Comparison of 2013 Bada Pu-erh.sk with 2013 Chawangpu BaDu and 2015 Chawangpu BaDa is basically not possible. The tea from Pu-erh.sk is completely different. 2013 Bada Pu-erh.sk is Gu Shu material - wild tea treas and those trees are a lot older. First infusions of “Slovak” Bada are quite bitter. Is is kind of “woody” bitterness of wild leaves. Sweetness is coming later in further steepings. After comparison of all three Bada teas in testers, it’s difficult to talk about bitterness in ChawanPu Badas. Of course, bitterness is there, but significantly milder. 2013 BaDa Pu-erh.sk is a great tea. The price is also on a different level €49,80 for 250g cake (10/2015). I bought this tea in January sale for €29. Long live sales!
